I have used a variety of  materials, previously creating 3d pin and wax landscapes, to develop the artistic potential in deconstructing the physical body, on a cellular level by separating the biological from the spiritual. Then examining these aspects of the human form on a quantum level independent of each other.

The colours I have chosen contain deep associations with the Mind, Body and Spirit. Each piece has developed as aspects of the human experience including the state of consciousness, recognised by ‘The Psyche’ a primeval place of developing thoughts and intangible belief systems. There is also an element of substantial matter, the corporeal body, connecting to passion, creation and survival. My  artistic struggle will always be  about the delicate balance between Chaos and Order, God and Science, the pursuit of blissful existence between the Material and the spiritual. I am developing a way forge connections in chaos, without imposing order.

 

This is underpinned by my belief that everything exists in a single moment of clarity, where god and science are two sides of the same coin. Through this imagery I am furthering my love of quantum dynamics and strong belief in spiritualism, so that I can search for and find a way to portray my excitement for all things bright and beautiful.

 

Through photography I have chosen to  highlight aspects of common beliefs, created by the accidental positioning of the pin shafts in the wax,  creating imagery reminiscent of the suffering of Christ, other tortured prophets and saints commonly associated with mainstream Christian religions.
