Some of my experiences have been frankly comical! I am often woken up by some otherworldly activity at which point I firmly tell them to “sod off ” until morning. However on one occasion I was asleep in bed and fighting for the duvet with my husband, I pulled it, he pulled it back. I pulled harder, he pulled harder. This went back and forth for a minute or two until I had enough and I turned to face him shouting that he wasn’t funny. The bed was empty, he was on nights so I shouted at the unnamed duvet thief and went back to sleep!

 

I was recently at a charity event in Liverpool, where I drew a picture during a reading of a very distinctive African man. The lady who I was doing the reading for insisted she had no one in her family that was even remotely racially different. I insisted she did, there is nothing I can do, all the other information she received was correct and she was able to verify it but she could not place the man. She has since made contact to inform me that the next day her daughter brought her new boyfriend home and it was the man in the drawing. She has promised to send me pictures but I’m still waiting on them because I’d love to know how the sceptics explain that one away!

 

I can relate many anecdotal stories but they are not evidence of a measurable type unless you are one of the people who happened to be there when it happened. But even this type of information has value, I treat spirit energy as a welcome guest or an unwelcome one. I see no difference between them and us, there are bad people and bad spirit energy, I avoid both!

 

When I first came into spiritualism I was very frightened by the amount of people that warned me about praying , protection and the dark side.

 

I pride myself on the fact that I have experience varied forms of spirit contact since I was a child and not one bit of it let me down the dark side. A couple of ex-boyfriends had a damn good go and one or two succeeded but it wasn’t the work of spirit. Boyfriends aside the spirit realm is not black and white and no medium knows all! We can only talk from our own experience and mine has led me luckily to pleasant energies that wished no harm. I am religious, I believe in a god energy and I understand the universe in positives and negatives.

 

But I work for the benefit of my fellow man, because every experience I have with every human I have met has changed me. Some have a lasting and damaging effect some have been inspirational and enlightening but all of them have their place, especially the spiritual and the comical
