NO FIGHT

We are told at an early age,

Our live's are ours to keep,

But can we walk the streets at night?

What happens when we sleep?

When children fall we pick them up;

Be careful of the glass

It's not safe in your own back garden'

And less so in your house.

We're not here to frighten you,

We don't want you taken away,

Explain it to the children,

We want to keep you safe.

Who pays the bills?

And provides the food?

Who says where you're to live?

Who tells us why we do these things?

And what does it all mean?

Who tells the grown up's what to do?

And why should they be right?

Who says we can't have better lives?

What's happened to our fight?

A POEM

A poem is a mass of words,

Designed to make you think,

To bring to life emotions,

And save you from the brink.

Hold on to your sanity,

Do not scream aloud,

Put down your thoughts in writing,

Then bravely share them out.

Some will understand them,

Some definitely, will not,

Some will think your crazy,

Some may publish the lot.

Treat it as a therapy,

To keep intact your mind,

Don't hope for any payment,

Just show the world your smile.

HEALING SPIRIT

Thank you for the opportunity

A new dawn brings

Another chance to spread my wings

Another day that I feel free

To enjoy the experiences that await me

A chance to give the world my all

To offer others a gift of hope

And share with them the joy I feel

When through my hands you start to heal

With love and trust you take their pain

Then I am free to serve again

WINDOW

The immediate apparition,

That floods the inner eye,

An illusion of the subconscious,

As we leave this life.

The essence of the soul that's gone,

Leaves just the physical form,

The only chance of immortality,

Is to live on through deeds you've done,

To amount to someone special,

Is everybody's goal,

Often mistakenly measured,

By the social status held.

All that should remain,

When passing through this life,

Is the Goodness that you have achieved,

Before you reach the other side.

Act purely out of selfishness,

And go forth heavy hearted,

Leave only bitter memories,

When you have departed
